Administered by the Illinois Department on Aging, SHIP counselors are trained to educate consumers about Medicare, Medicare Supplement plans, long-term care insurance, and Medicare Advantage plans; assist with filing Medicare and supplement claims; and analyze insurance policies. SHIP is not affiliated with any insurance company and counselors do not sell or solicit any type of insurance.
